Sneak Peak

Here's a little sneak peak of some barrette sets and singles that I just finished. The top 9 sets are heading off to Otto and the bottom 8 are heading to my Etsy shop Digadig.

Perfect colors for spring!

The Waiting is the Hardest Part

I hope.

Dang, it feels like we have been waiting for this whole house thing to be over with for ages. We made our offer on September 1st so it's been like 6 months already.

We were supposed to close yesterday but someone on the other side didn't get the paper work in in time. Now we (not really us the selling agent is paying for it since they screwed up) have to pay another $900 rate extension on our loan. Not only that but we are so ready to start cleaning and painting before we move all of our stuff over.

Talk about a big letdown . Insert huge sad face here.

Hopefully, and I cross my fingers when I say this, we will be closed by early next week.

Then the harder part will begin. Cleaning, patching, painting, moving, and leaving our well loved teeny, tiny, home. Insert another huge sad face.

And the winner is.....

Isabel Clownsnack!

I entered Clown in the Modernica pets on furniture contest last month. The challenge was to take a picture of your pet on a piece of modern furniture. Now I enter contests and never ever win anything. Wait that's not completely true. I did win 6 packs of pre-fold diapers when Finley was a baby.

So when I entered Clown I had no real expectation to win, but we did. Thanks in part by all of my fabulous friends that voted for her and secured her a spot in the finals.

This is the winning picture.

I know it is technically not perfect and I really should have paid more attention to the junk under the couch, but I do think it is pretty funny.

The hardest part of the whole thing was picking out our prize. I really wanted this Noguchi Replica coffee table but since the glass just rests on the base, I was afraid that a certain very rambunctious 3 year old would somehow hurt herself. So I ended up choosing the Easy Chair which is a replica of Pierre Paulin's "orange slice" chair.

We drove down to Los Angeles to pick it up last week. I love the tweedy orange color that I picked out. The chair is super comfortable and will look great in our new house. (which we should close on next week!!!!!)

Here are Finley and Clown posing for the camera at Modernica. They also did a blog entry on our visit.

Thanks a ton Modernica!
