I hit the jackpot at the goodwill for school prizes.  I'm always on the lookout for Matt and Finley's teacher.

Which one of these doesn't belong?

Finley got a sewing book and sewing kit for xmas this year.  She wanted to do it all by herself this time.  So proud of her.

Someone in this house is a art/craft supply hoarder.  I'm not going to name any names though.

  1. Hi! Ran across your blog while investigating the Dura Steel medicine cabinets I found installed in the closets of my new-to-me 1939 home. Loved the bathroom mirror story in particular and am wildly curious about the mail slot you mentioned but as far as I can tell never followed up on. As a coincidental aside, I picked up the perfect Telechron electric clock from Pam at Out of Vogue as soon as we signed the paperwork on the house--a perfect parting gift from the town I grew up in :)

  2. Learned recently: NOT medicine cabinets (although undoubtedly from the same mold). Actually built in shoe racks. A friend told me he had seen similar in old neighborhoods of Long Beach.

  3. Wow! I totally forgot about the mail slot. I'll have to do a short post on it soon.
And built in shoe racks? That sounds really cool. I'd love to see a picture. I'll have to google it to see if I can find out any info.
